Clipper Ship, Oil on Board, signed F. Harvey

A finely executed vintage maritime oil painting on board depicting a three-masted American sailing ship moving through rolling ocean waves beneath a softly clouded sky. The vessel flies the American flag from the stern, its sails fully billowing as the ship cuts across the water with dramatic movement and detail.

Painted in the 20th century by F. Harvey, the work reflects the long tradition of classic marine painting reminiscent of 19th-century nautical art.

The painting is housed in an ornate gilt frame with scrolling foliate and shell motifs, and measures 15” x 13”.
